Manager Financial Reporting

The Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for the following:

Monthly management reporting package preparation including sales reports, financial statements, cash flow forecasts and KPI reporting
Coordinates and assists with month end/quarter end close activities
Ownership of the general ledger – maintenance of the chart of accounts and ensures accuracy of the general accounting organization
Management of at least two professional staff members
Will also manage the corporate payroll function


Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA a plus)
Demonstrated experience leveraging automated accounting and budgeting software
Minimum of seven years’ experience within a technical accounting or finance function including demonstrated supervisory or management responsibility of professional staff

Payroll Accountant

Marco Management Solutions, a division of Marco & Associates, is providing interim support to a prominent non-profit organization based in the Loop that is undergoing a finance transformation initiative. We are currently looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant to fill a specific and highly valued role on an interim basis.

The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Processing payroll for corporate, administrative and field staff on a bi-weekly basis (the majority of the employees are hourly and includes individuals that may belong to one of a number of unions)/
Prepare bi-weekly payroll journal entries and remittance of 401(k) contributions
Interpreting union contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms
Providing input and support to an upcoming implementation of a new payroll processing software service
Direct oversight of the collection and processing of timesheets

Desired qualifications:

Demonstrated experience providing interim/consulting support and the ability to quickly assimilate and pick up in deadline driven environments
Experience managing the payroll process involving union matters (ability to interpret union contracts to ensure compliance with contract terms)
Proficient leveraging ADP Workforce Now (ADP E-Time software experience also desired but not required)

Corporate Payroll Manager

Will manage the payroll process for a global manufacturer based downtown Chicago with responsibility for oversight and management of two payroll specialists.
The organization has approximately 3,000 employees throughout North America; however, primary focus will be on the management of the payroll process for the US Operations and Corporate Office staff.
Looking for an individual that has a bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance coupled with demonstrated payroll expertise and staff management/supervisory skills.
In addition to traditional payroll process management the individual will also be relied upon for performing ad hoc analysis and presenting information in Executive Leadership monthly/quarterly/annual meetings
The position is bonus eligible.
The role is open as a result of the current Payroll Manager being promoted to a new position within the organization.


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field is required
CPP is highly preferred
8 years working in International payroll
Experience with Ceridian and/or Kronos systems highly preferred
Strong knowledge of regulations related to payroll processing, payroll taxes, garnishments, and other related compliance issues
Strong attention to detail and problem solving
Ability to maintain highly confidential information required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
Experience managing a team is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel; Word; PowerPoint) with advanced use of formulas and functions in Excel required
